Halocarbon 6.3 oil is a low molecular weight polymer ofchlorotrifluoroethylene (PCTFE). This inert oil is manufactured bya controlled polymerization process and then is stabilized to giveit some very unique properties.
This oil is safe, nonflammable, and chemically inert – safe foroxygen, chlorine, and most reactive gas services. It has goodlubricity, high thermal stability, and lowcompressibility.
Halocarbon 6.3 oil is one of the lower viscosity inert oils that ismanufactured by Halocarbon Products. Typical applications ofHalocarbon 6.3 oil is as an inert instrument fill fluid and as amechanical seal oil. Please see the SDS for more details.
