fields offashion. They come from cities considered the fashion capitals ofthe major export markets forinternational garment trade: New York,Milan, Paris and Tokyo. Each season, the committee memberscombinetheir expertise and local influences to come up with the themesthat tell the story of tomorrow’sapparel fabric trends.

Sachiko Inouegraduated from the International Design and Art Institution in1971, then worked forvarious textile companies as a fashion andtextile forecaster. Currently, she offers consultingservices,including trend forecasts and individual guidance forseveral key material producers, trading firms,converters and fabricmanufacturers in Japan. She has also been involved in directing JFW(JapanFashion Week Organization)/Textile Div. in the trendforecasting and textile consulting field in both

Japanese andoverseas fairs.
