Macroscopic internal defects are e.g.
non-metallic inclusions with a surface of more than 0,03 mm²in their largest dimension
internal discontinuities as e.g. blowholes, pores or internalcracks with a surface of more than 0,03 mm² in their largestdimension
Quantity and size of macroscopic internal defects must notexceed state-of-the-art technology. Measures have to be taken inaccordance with state-of-the-art technology to prevent theoccurrence of macroscopic internal defects. Material with anincreased risk for such defects must not be delivered. Inparticular, any deviation from the control plan can heighten therisk.
