Dry film lubricant resistant to corrosive environments, skydrol,lubricants, fuels and operating temperatures of up to 700°C(1,300°F), in areas of fretting and anti galling. Used for exampleon the marine RB211 and Rolls Westinghouse WR21. Protecting aninternal satellite bush running at 500-550°C (930-1020°F), it isused at the turbine end in a variable geometry area to reducefriction. PL181 should be tested before use in aqueous envionmentsor manufacture processes where aqueous washing is used. PL181 hasonly limited resistance to water immersion.
