The servo drive system comprises a SINAMICS S210 servoconverter, a SIMOTICS S-1FK2, S-1FT2 or S-1FS2 servomotor anda matching One Cable Connection (OCC) for connecting the motor tothe converter. SINAMICS S210 is a single-axis AC/AC servoconverter system with high performance and dynamic response formid-range Motion Control applications.
SINAMICS S210 servo converters are available for the followingline voltages:
200 V to 240 V 1 AC (1 AC series)
200 V to 480 V 3 AC (3 AC series)
The SINAMICS S210 is a flexible, versatile system.SIMOTICS S-1FK2, S-1FT2 or S-1FS2 series synchronousservomotors are installed in rotary and linear axes. The integratedOne Cable Connection (OCC) interface allows user-friendlyconnection of a SIMOTICS S-1FK2, S-1FT2 or S-1FS2 motor withjust one cable. The electronic motor type plate data can be readout, which eliminates the need to parameterize the converter withthe motor data. This significantly simplifies and shortenscommissioning.
In conjunction with the technological functions of the higher-levelcontroller, there are many possibilities of motion – fromcontinuous operation through positioning and synchronous operation,to coordinated motion of multiple axes via cyclic cams orinterpolation – everything is possible.
The SINAMICS S210 converter has an integrated PROFINETcommunications interface for connecting to a control system.
The data exchange with the higher-level controllers takes place viastandardized protocols – the PROFIdrive profile for positioningmode and the PROFIsafe profile for safety-relatedcommunication.
Thus, operation is optimally ensured with the SIMATIC S7automation system. The drive axis is connected via technologyobjects and Motion Control blocks in the SIMATIC S7 or aSIMOTION controller.
