• Connection of distributed process stations/Remote Terminal Units(RTUs) to one or more control centers

• Use of different public or private communication networks formonitoring and controlling the telecontrol substations

• Event-driven or cyclic exchange of process data including timestamp via telecontrol protocols IEC 60870, DNP3, SINAUT ST7 andTeleControl Basic

• Operating personnel have efficient control of the overallprocess

• Online access to the substations for diagnostics, remoteprogramming and maintenance

TeleControl Basic is a simple remote control, remote maintenancesystem as well as fault signaling system optimized for the use ofpublic communication networks such as mobile wireless and Internetfor connection to the substations.

It comprises the TeleControl Server Basic control center softwareand substations of the type SIMATIC S7-1200, ET 200SP and RTU3000C.In addition to communication between the control center and thesubstations, the system also enables internode communicationbetween substations.

Small-scale applications with few outstations can be implemented,as well as large-scale plants comprising up to 5000outstations.

From SIMATIC PCS 7, SIMATIC WinCC or non-Siemens controlsystems using OPC, outstations based on SIMATIC S7-1500, ET 200SP,S7-1200, S7-300/400 and RTU3000C can be monitored and controlled.The outstations and substations can communicate with each other aswell as with one or more control centers. Telecontrol systems withtelecontrol protocols such as IEC 60870, DNP3 or SINAUT S7 areconsistently modular in design and highly flexible in use.
