This oil is safe, chemically inert, nonflammable,and is oxygen and chlorine compatible. It has good lubricity, highthermal stability, and low compressibility.
The thickener used in this grease is a very fine silicapowder. Silica is a commonly requested grease thickener butits chemical stability is more limited than the PCTFE oil. Silica-thickened greases can be prone to attack by chemicals activetoward silica, such as alkalis, hydrofluoric acid and fluorinatingagents. Compatibility of silica-thickened greases should beconfirmed before being used in applications in contact with thesechemicals. Please see the SDS for more details.
