SIMARIS project is a planning tool for fast calculation of spacere and electrical power distribution system budgets fornon-residential and industrial builings, and for generatingspecifications automatically.
The following is determined in SIMARIS project based on thepre-defined project structure and the basic technicalspecifications selected:
For medium-voltage switchboards: selection of the required systemand the required fields, then presentation of a front view withdimensions.
Following selection of the system for transformers, the re must be selected. Selected transformers are presented as aparts list.
For low-voltage switchboards and distribution boards: selection ofthe required protection devices and switching devices per system.The most suitable distribution system is determined automaticallybased on the list of distribution devices thus created. It is thene with the devices and presented graphically in anautomatically generated front view that includes dimensions.
Following selection of the system for busbar trunking systems thelength is specified and the additionally required components areselected, e.g. infeeds, junction units and tap-off units. All theresulting components are listed in a parts list.
Detailed information about Siemens devices or their article numbersis not needed because SIMARIS project makes the selectionautomatically on the basis of the parameters entered. For each itemof switchboard or each distribution board, SIMARIS project takesthe wiring, control and measurement etc. into account.
A system plan drawn up in SIMARIS design can also be imported intoSIMARIS project, which means that selecting devices becomesredundant and SIMARIS project builds up the project structureautomatically.
Convenient output versions are available to document the results,including the automatic generation of specifications for theplanned systems.
Typical versions of a system planned in SIMARIS project can besaved and repeatedly integrated in new projects from the Favoriteslibrary. Automatically created systems can also be subse or changed. This is particularly relevant if planningbecomes more detailed and the budget needs to be reinforced as aresult.
